Though the title appears pretty self-explanatory, this is not just a calendar. This is an International Publishers’ calendar! A Marxist calendar!

This calendar includes the dates of significant moments in history. The birth and death of peoples‘ leaders. From V.I. Lenin to W.E.B. Du Bois. From Claudia Jones to Elizabeth Gurley Flynn. From Karl Marx to Gerald Horne. This calendar reminds us that we are part of an international working class movement for socialism!

This calendar reminds us that International Publishers is the most famous and longest-surviving Marxist publishing house in the United States. It’s a record of activists, authors, and academics; of labor and left movement leaders over the decades, and the role IP books have played in breaking barriers for equality and justice. This calendar is a resource. It is a call to action!

Way back in 1924, when International Publishers issued its first full catalog, the Daily Worker commented, “The literature of the revolution is taking its prominent place in the English-speaking world.” This calendar is just one more tool in the organizers tool box.
